Matz and More is a design focused, pocket friendly home decor brand with a range of anti-slip rugs, doormats, bathroom mats, and runners to keep your home clean, dry, and beautiful. We pride ourselves in our stylish collection of contemporary, modern, and classic floormats and have something for every home.

Our 100% nylon floormats have non-slip technology, do not stain or get crushed, are anti allergic, water and stain resistant, fast-drying, and easy to clean. They are built to withstand high foot traffic, making them an ideal choice for the home or office.

• Anti-slip - Every piece has a built-in non-slip technology, with a gel rubber grip. Even when it's wet, it is not slippery!
• Durable and long-lasting - Our entire collection is made from 100% nylon which is a highly durable and long-lasting material. It is tufted in a loop pile, giving it a flat texture that allows it to retain its original appearance over time. It does not get crushed or distorted and so it looks new for a long time.
  
• Water resistant and quick drying - nylon fibers don't retain moisture and dry fast, helping you keep your home dry
  
• Hypoallergenic and mould resistant - nylon fibers do not trap dust. They stay on the surface so are easy to vacuum and brush off. Nylon also does not retain moisture and dries quickly so it is naturally resistant to mould - great for those with allergies!
  
• Low maintenance - Nylon is a non-shedding fiber so maintenance is a breeze with sturdy fibers that withstand regular vacuuming

Our story and what we care about

"Have nothing in your home that you don't know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." 

This statement was made by William Morris, a 19th century British textile designer celebrated for his beautiful and innovative carpet, textile, and wallpaper designs. As part of India’s emerging class of young consumers that place heavy importance on stylish interiors and quality decor for the home, this statement really connects with me. In fact, taking it one step further, we believe that everything useful in your home should also be beautiful. We want to make our homes a better place to live in and a better place to entertain in. 

With this mindset, in 2021, I set out to renovate and redecorate my family home. I wanted to make it cozy, elegant, and stylish. I was also on a very tight budget. As I searched online and offline for rugs and floormats to add some colour to the living room, to pretty-up the bedrooms, and to keep the kitchen dry - I hit a few roadblocks. 

Doormats, bathroom mats, and kitchen mats were available in such basic, boring designs and colours. Area rugs were so expensive! I could not find affordable rugs with the right colours to complement our walls and our furniture, or in the modern designs I was looking for. While young Indians like me are spending more on home decor than ever before, we are still price-conscious. We’re looking for the best ROI. We want quality products at affordable prices. 

Matz and More was born out of this need that was unmet. I set out to fill this gap in our market. I went on a hunt to find the most durable carpet fiber that also offered high flexibility with design. At the same time it needed to effectively fulfill all its utility purposes. I discovered that Nylon has numerous benefits and makes an excellent carpet fiber. It is strong, long-lasting, low maintenance, stain resistant, and static-free. It is water resistant, does not retain moisture, and is fast drying - perfect for use in the bathroom mat or kitchen, and ideal for India’s largely tropical and humid climate. Nylon is also easy to dye, and with the advanced digital printing technology, you can print intricate patterns with endless colors per design on this fiber. Most important of all, nylon carpets are highly affordable unlike wool and cotton. I found what I needed and here we are today. 

With the material and quality narrowed down on and checked off, design remains at the forefront of our operations. Our goal at Matz and More is to consistently innovate with styles, patterns, and prints ranging from historical eras to contemporary times so that we have something to offer to everyone and to match with every home.
